11/22/63, by Stephen King

Another winner by The King. Although it’s not hard to figure out that changing history can lead to some “interesting” results, Stephen King manages to throw in enough plot twists and cliffhangers that he makes the reading become an extremely fun trip back to 1958.

And I’ll be darned if King didn’t manage to sneak in a pretty nice love story. It’s the first time I’ve seen make the woman in a story something other than just another character. It makes for a very touching ending.

As a life long syfy nut, I really enjoyed the way Stephen King makes this technically impossible story into an almost believable journey. Oh, and the reference to a serial killer on the loose in Derry, who dresses up as a clown, was a hoot.
