Starts off as a murder mystery, but turns into a psychological thriller. My wife and I listened to the book on a long road trip, and it kept us guessing the entire way. This is one of those books that will draw multiple types of people, as it combines mystery, puzzles, curiosity, and a little gore.
Alicia has, without provocation, killed her husband, having been caught red handed. Since she’s a semi famous painter, this makes her even more so. But, she will admit to nothing, and even stops talking completely. This lands her in the loony bin. But, a curious doctor can’t resist the temptation to see if he can get her to talk. This sets up a wonderful web, where the more he probes, the more questions com up. Really enjoyed this one.
