Olive is a teenage girl who starts seeing visions of her dead mother, Billie. She knows her mom is dead because her father has told her so. The visions are so real, though, she starts pestering her father about whether Billie is really dead, and the dad, Jonathan, starts rethinking things about his life with Billie.
Jonathan is a writer, and he is in the process of writing a book about Billie. In his recounting of events, small pieces of recollections start him thinking about whether his life with Billie was as idealistic as it once seemed, and he starts imagining scenarios of her having running off with another man.
The book starts slow, but stay with it-it has a stupendous ending. Here’s another one by Janelle that you’ll surely enjjoy.
