The opening scene sets the mood for the movie-a lone soldier, Raju, fights through a crowd of several thousand people to retrieve a trouble maker. It’s absolutely outlandish, as he throws people right and left, something Popeye would do in a cartoon, and finally drags the poor guy back to his military commander for punishment. Meanwhile, in a small village, a peasant girl is bought as a slave by a rich lady who is passing through and hears the girl singing. A man from the village, Bheem, is sent to rescue her. Raju’s commander learns that a mission to rescue the girl is planned, and enlists Raju to make sure the mission does not succeed.
Raju and Bheem meet each other at a festival and become friends, not realizing they have cross purposes. There are several outlandish adventures, similar to the opening scene, and they’re both into similar superhuman dancing. I’d have to say it’s a roller coaster of a film, and everyone will enjoy it. I watched it with my grown son, and he told me later his 11 year old son also thought it was great.
